Writing (and publishing) For Children

THIS CLASS HAS BEEN MOVED TO START A WEEK LATER, ON FEB 8 BECAUSE THE TEACHER WILL BE OUT OF THE COUNTRY.
How and what to write for kids and how to get it published. From picture books to young adult novels, this class gives you the professional nuts and bolts techniques for finding ideas, developing them, writing them well, and presenting them to publishers. Your instructor, Kathleen Kudlinski, is the author of 38 children's books. Her publications span pre-K to grade 9, include fiction and non-fiction, and have been translated into a half dozen languages. She also writes and illustrates the award-winning “Naturalist” column every Sunday in the New Haven Register. Kudlinski leads popular writer’s workshops, teaches, and speaks at schools, libraries, and conferences throughout New England. Bring your dreams, expect challenges, laughter, and encouragement. For beginners, high school through adult. Materials: paper, pencils.
