ERACE POLICY STATEMENTS

Funding Statement
Funding of $375,845 for ERACE is derived from competitive federal grants (52%), state funds contributed to our five towns (10%) and local funds from our boards of education (38%).

Statement on Instructors and Courses
The Adult Education Programs are sponsored by the North Branford, Branford, Guilford, Madison and Clinton Boards of Education. Instructors are selected for their expertise in specific areas; however, we do not promote the private services of the instructors nor the companies with whom they are associated. We disclaim any and all responsibility for any activity participants may pursue based upon information offered or discussions conducted in our adult education classes. The participants are solely responsible as to how this information and knowledge is applied by them.

Statement of Non-Discrimination, Accessibility & Accommodations
It is the policy of the Adult Education Programs that no person shall be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or otherwise discriminated against under any program, including employment, because of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, ancestry, marital status, mental retardation, mental or physical disability, including, but not limited to, blindness. Students needing special accommodations should register early and inform us of their needs. We can then provide them for the first class session. We also assist in gaining special testing accommodations for students who plan to take the GED examination. Please inform us when registering for our GED-High School Equivalency Preparation Program so we can process the request with the Bureau of Career and Adult Education, State Department of Education. Contact persons for the above policy statements are Paul Dzialo, Director and Carolyn Skowronek, Disabilities Contact Person at 203.488.5693.

Our Guarantee
Our courses are chosen for enrichment and education and we want our students to be satisfied. If a problem results, please contact the office via email at pdzialo@branford.k12.ct.us or phone 203.488.5693.
