News & Notes - Winter / Spring 2010

Welcome to our 2010 Winter-Spring Catalog!

East Shore Region Adult Continuing Education (ERACE) comprises the Branford, North Branford, Guilford/Madison and Clinton Adult Education Programs. We are excited to offer you the most comprehensive and diverse educational programs and courses on the shoreline!

Students who seek a high school diploma or GED are welcomed in our evening programs in Branford. Here, we offer a High School Credit Diploma Program and a GED (General Educational Development) program. ERACE also offers an External Diploma Program for mature adults who wish to obtain a high school diploma. Our Citizenship Preparation Program is offered to those who want to fulfill the requirements of the Immigration and Naturalization Service, INS and our Transitions Program assists students wanting to bridge the gap between GED or high school work to enter college and occupational training. We have recently expanded efforts in our growing ESL (English as a Second Language) Program, offering classes in the Branford, Madison and Clinton communities.

A visit to our Branford office at the high school on 185 E. Main Street, Branford, is one way to enroll in our academic programs. Counselors are available late afternoon and evenings. Academic office hours are 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm for those interested in any of our academic programs. A phone call for information about any of our academic programs can be made to: 203-488-5693. Or, you can email: pdzialo@branford.k12.ct.us for more information. Please do not hesitate to let your friends and family members know about our adult education academic programs.

Our enrichment program provides a variety of courses to satisfy many interests. We offer computer courses, health and wellness programs, cooking classes, dance, music, art and personal development courses; language programs and special interest items. Our bus trips have become so popular we have decided to offer more of them. Our program offers over 240 courses in five towns. Let our programs become your excuse to get out of the house at night.
